Information for Families and Children

Every visit to the Kings Theatre should be a special one. Please see the information below to help plan your visit for your family or if your children are attending the theatre.

  • Age recommendations and restrictions are shown on the individual show pages. Please check the web-page for the show you are planning to see for the latest information.
  • Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult (aged 16+).
  • Children aged between 14-16 may attend unaccompanied by an adult but must notify the Box Office when booking tickets and make themselves known to a member of staff on arrival. No responsibility is accepted by the Kings Theatre or any of its employees for unaccompanied children.
  • There are baby changing facilities in the disabled toilet near the entrance on the stalls level and in the family room next to the ladies toilets on the Dress Circle level.
  • We have booster seats available for hire at a fee of £1. Please ask our Front of House team if you wish to hire one. You are more than welcome to bring your own booster seats to the theatre.
  • Children’s tickets are charged at the full rate unless there is a concessionary price indicated on the individual show page.
  • If “Baby on Lap” tickets are available this is indicated on the individual show page and are charged at the nominal rate of £2.50. “Baby on Lap” tickets entitles infants under 12 months old to sit on the lap of an adult (this can vary from show to show).
  • If there are ‘Family Package Tickets’ available these will be indicated on the individual show pages. Family tickets are usually for 4 people of which at least 1 must be a child under the age of 16.
