The UK Pantomime Association has announced the nominees for the Pantomime Awards 2025, and The Kings Theatre is thrilled to share that Lorraine Stanley has been nominated for the prestigious Best Villain Award.
Lorraine made her pantomime debut as the villainous Queen Rat in the 2024 Pompey Panto, receiving glowing reviews from both critics and audiences alike.
Lorraine expressed her excitement and gratitude for the nomination, saying, “I am absolutely thrilled to be nominated for Best Villain at the National Panto Awards! To receive such recognition for my very first pantomime, especially in my hometown of Portsmouth, is truly incredible. The support I received from The Kings Theatre and the wonderful cast and crew made all the difference. They gave me the confidence to step into the world of panto, and I’m so grateful for their belief in me. It was an honour to perform Queen Rat on that stage, and I’m beyond grateful for the chance to be a part of such a special production.”
The Kings Theatre would like to extend their heartfelt congratulations to Lorraine Stanley on this prestigious nomination and express their gratitude to the audiences whose support made this pantomime season such a success. With her first panto season now behind her, Lorraine has undoubtedly secured her place as a future star in the world of pantomime.
The winners of the National Panto Awards will be announced in a ceremony on Sunday 13 April at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking, in partnership with Trafalgar Entertainment and ATG Entertainment.
But for now, The Kings Theatre is delighted to celebrate Lorraine Stanley’s nomination.
