To celebrate Heritage Open Days 2023, The Kings Theatre will be opening its doors on Friday 15th September! So why not book a tour and find out more about this beautiful Grade II* listed proscenium arch theatre, designated by the Theatres Trust as a ‘theatre of national architectural importance’. To attend the open day and enter the theatre you must have purchased a ticket to one of our tours! Everyone must have a ticket for one of the tours to gain entry to the theatre.
There will be history and tech tours running; visit those areas that are normally hidden from the public, soak in the knowledge of our tour guides and quiz our tech team on all things back stage! Our archivists will be on hand to answer your questions on the history of the theatre, with many original artefacts for you to look at. Tours have to be pre-booked and numbers are limited:
