SALARY £30,000 PA initially rising to £33,500 after successful completion of probation.
This post has been created to implement and oversee the smooth and efficient ongoing health and safety, maintenance, restoration and inspection regimes of the Grade II* listed Kings Theatre, Portsmouth.
You will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the theatre buildings structure, fixtures, fittings, systems, utilities and services. You will also be expected to ensure the implementation of the Health & Safety Policy, Fire Prevention measures and security arrangements and compliance with current legislation.
We are looking for a confident individual who could be ex – trades but is now in management or someone with a Mechanical/Electrical background. Applicants must have NEBOSH health & safety qualification (or the equivalent) and a qualified first aider or willing to undertake the training. You will need to be able to demonstrate successful experience in managing the maintenance and operations of buildings, plant, equipment, utilities and services in a large venue/complex. In addition, you will need to have good knowledge of the Health, Safety and Security arrangements required within a large venue with the ability to write and review policies, procedures and risk assessments. Good working knowledge of MS Office and line management experience are a must.
