Development of the Kings

2017 saw the Kings celebrate its 110th anniversary, this was a significant milestone as the Kings embarks on a period of change in 2018.

With ongoing support from Portsmouth City Council, funding from corporate partners, much-needed backing from private donations, and the patronage of audiences the Kings is ready to start thinking how it can make the theatre a sustainable cultural resource in the city for the next 110 years. It has lots of plans to develop the existing building to improve customer facilities and be able to engage with the community more. This will require considerable investment and it will be looking at how it can achieve this.

For generations, The Kings Theatre has been a place where people enjoy theatre. Whether sitting in the audience, acting on stage or simply marvelling at a beautiful building that has so much to tell us about the past.

Building on the success of the last few years, the Kings Theatre is looking for investment and support to continue the development of the Kings. Should you be interested in discussing the development and/or investment we would be delighted to hear from you.
