New Trustees

01 March 2018

The team at the Kings Theatre are working hard in 2018 in attracting first-class touring productions to our South Coast venue, attracting new audiences and building on our iconic reputation as a destination venue.

So we are very excited to welcome two new trustees to our board who will bring with them a wealth of creative and entertainment experience.

David Henderson who lives in Southsea, is a Director at Global Media and Entertainment, operating radio stations such as Heart and Capital as well as music festivals such as Victorious and Boardmasters.

David said "I am delighted to become a Trustee at The Kings Theatre where I can bring my experience of music and live events together with a belief that good theatre adds to the vitality and creativity of life in Portsmouth"

Jane Prescott is the Headmistress at Portsmouth High School for Girls, appointed in 2011 she has long been a supporter of the Kings, having lived in Southsea most of her life.

"I am delighted to become a Trustee of the Kings Theatre as I very much believe in supporting local arts venues and the opportunity they bring to young people to watch live theatre and performance. Furthermore, the Kings brings together the local community and affords the chance to many to be involved in the theatre"

Welcoming the new trustees to the board Chairman Paul Woolf said: "The theatre is committed to embracing the overall cultural vision of Portsmouth and we feel that the experience that both Jane and David bring to the Kings Theatre will be of huge benefit, to not only to the theatre but the creative strategic focus of the arts in Portsmouth.
