Our didactic Primary tours are ideal for children in Key Stages 1 and 2. With a strong focus on the Edwardian period and the social history of our local area, children are able to fully immerse themselves into the life and times of the Kings Theatre in 1907!

Each tour will last approximately 45 mins at a cost of £50.00 for a maximum of 25 pupils and will feature an interactive range of learning activities and characters around the theatre…

Tours will now be linked to a Drama Workshop in:

  • Devising and Drama Techniques
  • Physical theatre including mime, status and stereotypes and slapstick comedy
  • Pantomime, An introduction to stock characters, musical theatre and tradition

"Dr Barrett and myself wanted to write to let you know we have just spent the most magical morning at the King’s theatre with year 6. The physical theatre workshop really engaged and inspired the girls and the leader managed to bring out such talent amongst even the naturally shy pupils. The addition of Edwardian actors around the theatre space really brought the experience to life. Very impressed!"
