The Kings Theatre is delighted to announce that this year it is being funded by the Big Lottery Fund to present a project called Creative Minds via a series of activities for those living with dementia as well as those who are socially isolated in conjunction with Remind

The Creative Minds Project will be a six-month pilot project so look out for exciting workshops, events, screenings and performances coming to the Kings soon!

 

Every Tuesday - Creative Minds Workshop

This is a chance to bring out your creative side. Janet Ayers (Natural Voice Practitioner and Community Artist) will be hosting these workshops. With a different creative theme each week you can make new friends and learn new skills. Every Tuesday Morning 10:30am-12:30pm at the Kings Theatre. This is a Dementia Friendly Session for those living with Dementia and their friends, families and carers.

Dementia Friendly Film - The Wizard of Oz - Wednesday 4 April 10:30am

A relaxed performance of this classic film in the Kings Auditorium. 

Messy Vintage Play - Monday 21 May 2pm-4pm

The Portsmouth Cathedral team lead a craft and workshop session for older people based on a biblical theme.

Creative Minds - Tuesday 22 May 10:30am-12:30pm

Musical storytelling workshops with Janet Ayers. This is a weekly drop-in workshop in no.28 Albert Road, Kings Theatre.

Dementia Friendly Film - Singin' In The Rain - Thursday 24 May 2pm-4pm

A relaxed performance of this classic film in the Kings Auditorium. 

Singing for the Brain - Friday 25 May 10:30am-12:00pm

A singing session held by the Alzheimer's Society in No.28, The Kings Theatre.
